Hartland’s extensive rail transport car fleet is a growing part of our transportation network. Prepared to deliver directly to customer plant sites or into Hartland’s inventory network, this rolling stock is supported by the Logistics Department.
Hartland’s large fleet features both general purpose and coiled/insulated rail cars ranging in size from 23,500 gallon to 31,800 gallon, allowing the transportation of both light and heavy petroleum products.
Hartland’s transloading facilities offer non-rail equipped customers the cost-saving advantages of rail transportation. With availability of a nearby rail siding, Hartland can provide a short-term or long-term handling facility where products can be safely moved from rail cars to trucks for delivery to the customer’s site.
Utilizing a blend of the industry’s most sophisticated computer applications, the Logistics Department controls each car on a daily basis to maximize availability, minimize travel time and reduce cost to the customer.
